Eastern Point

North Hampton, NH

A young family had recently acquired this ocean front property, long neglected by its previous owner a new design was imagined for modern day living and entertaining. While the large lawn with ocean view was left in its classic, New England “cottage” state the arrival and more intimate entertaining spaces were completely renovated. A maze of walkways and fencing gave way to a more deliberate, aesthetically pleasing arrangement. A few pieces of art that were on site, including two elephants and a water feature, were incorporated with both relocated and updated plant material. The ill-defined asphalt driveway was edited and enhanced with a cobblestone drop off. Inviting bluestone paths were aligned to provide clear connections the house and outdoor spaces. The backyard imagined for grilling and entertaining gave way to an improved porch and deck. The bluestone patio provides seating and a built-in fire pit is close yet its own space. The trellis and gridwork fence panels incorporate the outdoor shower, wood storage and privacy that make this space equally desirable ocean view!
